Grrrrocery Pet Peeves

There are two things I find really annoying at the supermarket:

1)People who park their cart dead-center in the middle of an aisle so you can't get around them.

2)People who come up behind you on the self-checkout line and start their order before you're finished bagging your own. Thank you, but I'd rather not have my bread smashed by your 12-pack of Snapple!

Yep, someone needs to make an official 'Grocery Etiquette' guide!

There ya go! That could be your next book project. Who knows...could be a BEST SELLER. :D Stranger things have happened, ya know.

I just experience your #1 pet peeve yesterday. This man was parked in the aisle cattycornered so you couldn't possibly pass him in the narrow Walmart aisles. AND he was talking on his cell phone. Just standing there, talking on the phone. And he saw me, but still he wouldn't move. I wanted to run over him with my cart.

Yep, the grocery store is a place that really develops your patience!

One of my pet peeves is the people who have tons of groceries to scan but then don't pull out the check book until the final thing is rung up.

You know you will be paying by check....start filling out the date and the 'pay to' field while your mountains of stuff are on the belt.

They wait until the total is announced then scramble around looking for the check book....then a pen....then start filling it out.

I have nothing against people who pay via check although I only use cash back cards...but I do hate time wasters.

I couldn't agree more - I have the same pet peeves. I think sometimes I am being tested for patience when I am shopping.

I have another one: if you know you are going to be using coupons, why don't you have them out and ready? Nothing like standing behind someone plowing through 85 coupons to get that one they need!

I so agree -- on both counts!! I just experienced the latter one today!
