I can live with this weather!

It's 63 degrees right now. On Long Island. In the dead middle of winter. So you know what I did today?

I hung laundry for the first time in months! I opened the back door to let the dog out and saw my lonely, forgotten clothesline. (Well, okay, lonely but not forgotten. I miss it.) And I thought...the sun is shining, it's way, way above freezing, so why not?

So I just did a small wash of light weight things, mostly aprons and napkins. I figure that, at 63 degrees, things won't dry as fast as when it hits 83.

Boy, what a treat--hanging laundry in the wintertime!

I need to get back into the habit of hanging laundry outside. I have no excuse since it's not been super cold in Colorado this winter.

It was up in the sixties here as well today. It's raining this evening, but it still felt warm when I went outside. I'm with you--I can definitely live with this weather.

Oh I miss hanging laundry on the line. Here in my neighborhood in WA clotheslines are forbidden....Heaven forbid someone sees your wet undies hanging out to dry!!

Hugs,
Robin

I hang clothes out all winter. In Kentucky, our weather will get reall cold for a week, then milder temps for a few days. I even hang laundry outside when it's in the thirtys. Surprisingly, it does dry, it just takes longer. I love saving on the electric bill in the winter!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

How cool is that? It's so funny, because it's been really cold for AZ, in the 40's and 50's, so right now we can't hang anything out, I can barely be out! : ) It is so fun though, to actually get to wear our winter clothes.
