I'm sick with that damned stomach bug...since Saturday. Most people are getting over it in 2 days, but no such luck for me. I'm able to eat a little food at a time. Then I'm starving, and I want to eat...and I can only eat a bite or two. I'm totally wiped out.
My question: has anyone out there tried Airborne or any of the other immunity formulas I see on the market? What do you think? I'm going to the doctor today and I'm going to ask. I've just been sick too much this winter. I feel like I've missed work at least once or twice a week. It's like I have no resistance. My boss (who is a pediatrician, in case you forgot) is very worried about me. This is not right.
I'll try to check back soon, but in the meantime, I hope all my friends out there are staying healthy!

My mother-in-law swears by Airborne and tries to push it on anyone around her who so much as sniffles. She says the pharmacist said she gives it to her own family. It might be a little bit of mind over matter, but my mother-in-law hasn't been sick and she's around my little germ-infested boys every week. She says she takes Airborne every time she sees them!
I hope you feel better soon!
I tried the airborne stuff and it didn't work for me or my children.
I have been taking BeeImmune from Beeyoutiful. I have had the stomach bug but I started taking these and was over it sooner than others were.

Thank you so much for the advice! I'll get back to you individually ASAP. Right now, I'm still in bed at 11 a.m. I'm writing on my laptop in bed...what a luxury! But a little hard when the dog insists on laying with his head on top of it.
I have news to report. I'll do that later. I'm feeling much, much better today.
I do hope you get better quickly! I haven't tried airborne. My grandma got my on the "one teaspoon cider vinegar in 1/2 cup juice" when I start feeling down. It is nasty stuff even in the juice, but I have not been sick so far this winter! Take care.
I dont' know anything about airborne, but I hope you're feeling better soon.
I am so sorry you have been so ill! Feel better soon okay? I had to giggle when reading your comment about the doggie's head! The worst one here is Lucy the cat who thinks is is ever so cozy to lay across the keyboard!
Get well soon!
Hugs,
Sue
My understanding is that Airborne is just a supercharged mix of vitamins and minerals. As such I'm sure there is no harm in it, and I sometimes use it myself when the kiddos are coming down with something, or if they are just starting to feel sniffly. However it isn't cheap, and I'm not sure if it does anything or not.
Some of the Homeopathic things out there now (can't remember the name, but one is a spray you use in your mouth, another is a nasal spray etc) are supposed to shorten the legnth of the cold you already have. I've used that, and it seems to help some, but you are supposed to use it every 3 hours the first day you really notice the cold for maximum effectiveness, and I never remember to do that. . .
