Well, I cut out and sewed the skirt part of the dress I'm designing. (Scroll down for earlier posts.) I found this all over black and white print at Joanne's the other night.
This is pinned with most of the waistline fabric at the back of the mannequin. As you will see in earlier posts, the waistline will actually be gathered into a wide waistband.

I want to do the top in red, I decided. I really like the combination of red, black and white. Joanne's didn't have any nice red T-shirt knit. I'm going to poke around on line. I'm determined to finish this to be able to wear it when the weather gets nicer.

Thanks so much for sharing about your grandmother on my site! I was so excited to see a recipe using bacon grease! I've heard about women saving it, and always wondered what they used it for. It makes so much sense to keep it because of the yummy flavor. I will be trying the recipe for sure!!

Looks good so far! And thanks for the dialogue on my shirt. I ended up buying an additional yard of the fabric to recut the front, but I think I have a good solution, finally!
I'll ignore yours if you'll ignore mine.
To answer your question..it's a work in progress..it's not done yet thats why its set to private..hopefully I will open it soon...a lil shop..
