My Husband Rocks Friday

Katie Lyn's got some cute wedding photos on her blog, so go take a look, and read why her husband is a 'keeper.'

Here is another reason why My Husband Rocks:

He does things I should do for myself, but hate doing...like putting gas in my car. I used to do it, but for some reason I don't like to do it now. Who knows why? Not only does Mike take my car to gas it up, he usually adds another $10 to the money I give him for gas!

Why does your husband rock? Wanna share?

My husband puts gas in my car too. I love it! He's also a great do-it-yourself guy which saves us lots of money.

That is a great thing for a good husband to do! Your husband DOES rock.

My husband rocks too. And for too many reasons to list here. But I guess the main reason he rocks is that even after 27 years, he's still my bestest, best friend.

And thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment.

I have to say that it is because when the kids wake up calling for me in the middle of the night and he hears them first, he gets up with them and doesn't wake me up.

My husband does that for me too. I just can't understand why I don't like to do it anymore, but he doesn't mind at all. We definitely have rockin' husbands!

My husband doesn't rock, because he's taking his good old time to actually show up in my life. ;) But what I really wanted to say is, you know, I meant to watch Top Chef on Wednesday. And got completely sidetracked by something--- I'm pretty sure it was catching up on this week's episode of Heroes. So I didn't.

And thanks for the pants comment! It'll be awhile before you see the finished result of those, as I need to make another pair first and was using that as my test version. But the stripey pants will get done, oh they will. As soon as I finish my pantsuit and whatever Christmas gifts I need to make. And maybe another project just for fun. ;)

Well, I've not done laundry for over 20 years - Don just started doing it one day and hasn't stopped. That includes not only washing and drying (or hanging things in the sunshine on the clothesline) but also folding, hanging and putting away the laundry. We use cloth napkins and he doesn't enjoy folding those all that much, so he'll empty the basket on the dining room table when he has a batch of napkins and sighhhhhhhhhh - and so I'll always go and help him fold the napkins. Not a bad deal - he just tends to the laundry and all I have to do is fold a few napkins - which is a job I really love, I make the napkins myself so each one is special and fun to fold.

My husband is one of those 'handy' guys. I am SO blessed! The dryer isn't drying in one cycle? "Oh, that's the gazoogle on the flingle...I'll pick up the part and fix it Saturday." And he does! After 23+ years, I can't imagine my life without him!
